Technician Trainer - Ford Master Certified, Required

1330 E. Camelback Road, Phoenix, AZ
Full Time

We’re looking for an experienced Ford Master Technician who wants to build technicians—not turn wrenches.

Our dealership is seeking a Ford Master Technician to take on a specialized training and development role. This position is designed for a highly experienced Ford technician who has a deep understanding of Ford vehicles, repair procedures, diagnostic systems, and all applicable Ford programs and resources.

We will only consider FORD FACTORY TRAINED CERTIFIED MASTER OR SENIOR MASTER candidates.

The Role:

You will not be responsible for repairing customer vehicles.

Instead, you will be responsible for taking entry-level C Technicians and developing them into confident, reliable, knowledgeable technicians who can properly diagnose, repair, and service Ford vehicles.

The trainer will work with up to four C Technicians at a time, providing hands-on guidance, technical instruction, coaching, and daily support as they progress through their training.

Responsibilities:

  • Train and mentor up to four entry-level C Technicians.
  • Develop technicians' knowledge, skills, confidence, and efficiency.
  • Teach proper Ford diagnostic and repair procedures.
  • Train technicians on current Ford vehicle technology and repair practices.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of Ford programs, systems, technical resources, and procedures.
  • Demonstrate proper diagnostic techniques and repair methodology.
  • Help trainees understand why a repair is necessary—not simply how to perform it.
  • Monitor trainee progress and identify areas requiring additional instruction.
  • Promote proper work habits, safety, quality, documentation, and professionalism.
  • Build technicians who can consistently perform quality repairs with increasing independence.
  • Serve as the technical resource and mentor for the technicians assigned to you.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ford Master Technician certification — mandatory.
  • Extensive experience working on Ford vehicles.
  • Current, comprehensive knowledge of Ford vehicles, technology, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of all Ford programs and technical resources required to properly diagnose and repair Ford vehicles.
  • Proven ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical concerns.
  • Strong communication and teaching skills.
  • Patience and the ability to explain technical concepts to entry-level technicians.
  • A genuine desire to develop and mentor other technicians.
  • Ability to lead by example and maintain high standards for quality and professionalism.

Compensation

This position is structured around the success and productivity of the technicians you train.

The trainer will be responsible for up to four C Technicians and will be paid based on the trainee technicians' hours.

This creates an opportunity for an experienced Ford Master Technician to earn while helping develop productive, confident technicians who can become valuable members of the dealership's service department.

This Position Is For You If…

You are a highly experienced Ford technician who has reached the point where you enjoy teaching as much as turning wrenches.

You know Ford vehicles inside and out. You understand diagnostics, repair procedures, and Ford's technical resources. Most importantly, you know how to take what you know and teach someone else to do it correctly.

If you take pride in developing technicians and want to make a lasting impact on a dealership's service department, we want to hear from you.

Ford Master Technician certification is mandatory.
