We are hiring for the full-time entry level position of Digital Marketing Coordinator. Reporting to the Manager, Marketing + Communications, this position is responsible for the development and implementation of all digital marketing programs, including management of social media accounts, website and campaigns. This position will also provide the Director, Communications and Stakeholder Relations administrative support.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the development, manage, and implement CTCC’s social media and content strategy to share the brand’s story in written, verbal and visual forms.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the digital brand, including website and social media management platform.
  • Plan and execute successful social media and digital marketing campaigns to meet specific objectives of the organization.
  • Coordinate the work of digital marketing suppliers and agencies.
  • Execute digital marketing budget and coordinate campaign and advertising allocations.
  • Build strategic relationships with stakeholders, clients and partners to enhance CTCC’s digital presence and support organizational objectives.
  • Monitor stakeholder digital presence, sentiment, and activities, and inform Leadership about topics and trends related to CTCC and the industry.
  • Provide customer service support through social media and website.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPI) for digital initiatives, analyze the level of success and tweak strategy as needed.
  • Conduct social listening and monitoring to report on brand sentiment, any potential threats to the brand, civic partners, and competitor activities. Prepare detailed analysis for Senior Leadership as needed.
  • Coach team members on best practices for use of social media for business purposes.
  • Stay up to date with the latest digital marketing trends to update strategy as needed.
  • Support communication strategy via emails, CTCC blog, and website with content that builds purposeful connections, tells the CTCC story and reflects the brand personality.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic marketing and communication strategies to support CTCC's business goals and objectives.
  • Oversee bank of CTCC’s visual assets, and work with clients and other stakeholders to manage required waivers and consents.
  • Work with agencies and third-party contracted service companies on asset development.
  • Maintain media database and support media relations projects as needed.
  • Support the department in the execution of community investment and engagement initiatives.
  • Provide direct digital support to Sales and Events teams on special projects including promotional requirements and campaigns for key markets.
  • Support client appreciation and engagement initiatives and work closely with the sales team to execute them.
  • Provide administration support such as purchase orders and invoicing, scheduling internal and external meetings, booking meeting rooms, audiovisual equipment and catering services required for departmental internal and external meetings hosted by the Communications and Stakeholder Relations department.
  • Assist in researching materials for presentations and meetings and preparing PowerPoint presentations.
  • Maintain a central digital filing system.
  • Evening and weekend onsite availability when required.

Experience and Assets

  • Experience managing corporate digital marketing efforts.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with team members, stakeholders, clients and suppliers.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media management, content marketing, digital marketing strategy and corporate communications. 
  • Maintains excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong writing and copy-editing skills.
  • Photography knowledge and a creative eye for producing visual content.
  • Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and visual format.
  • Practices superior time management and project management.
  • Previous experience in the events industry would be an asset.
  • Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary (i.e.: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).
  • Has knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics.
  • Possesses functional knowledge and/or experience with WordPress.
  • Design experience using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
  • Possesses ability to identify potential negative or elevated risk situations.
  • Demonstrates Social Customer Service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy, and conflict resolution.

Education and Certification

  • A degree in marketing or similar field.


  • A minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in digital marketing & communications.
