Landscaping Technician

By the Sea Resorts is looking for three dependable Landscaping Technicians to work as a traveling team maintaining the exterior landscaping at our hotels and restaurants throughout the Panama City Beach area.

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity with compensation based on completed landscaping jobs. The team will travel between assigned properties to complete scheduled landscaping and grounds-maintenance projects.

All landscaping tools, equipment, and necessary supplies will be provided.

What You'll Do

Landscaping work will vary by property and may include:

• Mowing, edging, and trimming grass areas

• Weed eating and maintaining borders

• Trimming bushes, shrubs, and small landscaping plants

• Removing weeds from landscaping beds

• Cleaning and maintaining flower beds and landscaped areas

• Applying mulch or pine straw as assigned

• Planting and replacing flowers, shrubs, and other landscaping

• Removing leaves, branches, and landscaping debris

• Blowing and cleaning sidewalks, entrances, parking areas, and other exterior spaces after work is completed

• Maintaining the appearance of hotel and restaurant grounds

• Completing seasonal landscaping projects

• Identifying damaged plants, irrigation concerns, or other landscaping issues and reporting them to management

• Traveling as a team between assigned properties to complete scheduled work

What We're Looking For

Candidates should have:

• Previous landscaping, lawn care, or grounds-maintenance experience preferred

• Valid driver's license and a good driving record required

• Reliable attendance and ability to complete assigned jobs as scheduled

• Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather conditions

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including bending, lifting, carrying, and working on your feet for extended periods

• Ability to safely operate standard landscaping equipment

• Strong attention to detail and pride in keeping properties clean and well maintained

• Ability to work effectively as part of a three-person team

Compensation

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Contractors are paid per completed job/project rather than by the hour.
