Responsibilities

• Administer first aid and care to ill or injured students and communicate immediately with parent about the situation
• Perform specialized health care procedures for students requiring them
• Dispense controlled or special medications

Requirements

• Possess exceptional nursing assessment skills
• Experience with pediatrics, plus children with developmental delays and/or on the autism spectrum
• Analytic/Critical thinker.
• Maintain student health records and update the school database; ensure compliance with required immunization laws and policies
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
