Be the one who ensures patient care is done right!
- As a core member of the agency’s leadership team, drive objectives, standards and processes to ensure the highest standards of quality, care and support.
- Serve as chief compliance officer, ensuring all services are in compliance with local, state and federal laws and overseeing proper maintenance of client clinical records, statistics, reports and records.
- A compassionate and knowledgeable advocate inspired to go above and beyond to help others.
- Meet, evaluate and approve every client, create their plan of care, and assure care is monitored and well-coordinated internally and with other care partners.
- Supervise, train and coach field care staff to ensure they are capable and well prepared.
- Provide direct patient care as a back-up to field nursing staff.
- Prepare clinical documentation such as progress notes and summaries of care.
- Lead agency accreditation efforts.
- Build relationships in the healthcare community to promote our reputation and referrals.
Nursing Qualifications:
- Current unrestricted RN license in California.
- Five (5) or more years of clinical experience, with at least two (2) years in a home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility. We will consider similar roles such as Director of Patient Care Services (DPCS), Director of Nursing (DON), Director of Nursing Services (DNS), Nursing Director, RN Clinical Director, Home Health Director, Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), RN Case Manager or similar role.
- Exceptional skills in nursing assessment, case management, and clinical proficiency.
- Proficient in clinical skills including infusions, IV starts, lab draws, level 1-2 wound care, and infection control. Ability to train nurses in these skills as needed.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal tactfully with clients, staff and community.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor and inspire care staff.
- Ability to build and implement quality improvements within the operation.
- Working knowledge related to state and federal regulatory compliance standards (ex: Title 22, HIPAA, OSHA, etc.) and Joint Commission accreditation process.
- Complies with all accepted professional standards of practice. Adheres to HIPAA and client confidentiality.
- Policy and procedure development a plus.
- Ability to travel within the North County area on a daily basis, including some weekends, nights and holidays
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Office programs.
- Clean background, criminal record, and drug test.
