Weekend RN for Companion Care – Join BrightStar Care & Make a Difference.

Client Details: 100-year-old female, independent with ADLs, receiving support for showering, meals, and medication administration. We are seeking an RN for companion care with personal assistant support.

Job Description:
BrightStar Care is looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide personal assistance and companionship services for a vibrant 100-year-old client in Portland. The ideal candidate will be someone who can support the client with daily tasks such as lunch preparation and cleanup, grocery runs, internet research, managing a calendar and appointments, ordering meals, and other personal assistant duties.

The client is independent with most activities of daily living (ADLs) and uses a walker. She is able to dress herself and manage basic tasks like using the bathroom. The role requires providing companionship and a helping hand with various non-medical duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Assist with personal assistant tasks, including:
• Lunch prep and cleanup
• Grocery runs and errands
• Internet research
• Calendar and appointment management
• Ordering meals
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for the client
• Communicate with the client and their family as needed

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• Previous experience in companion care or as a personal assistant is a plus
• Ability to follow a flexible schedule
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Must be available for weekend shifts every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Must be able to assist with some mobility and light physical tasks

Compensation:

• Pay starts at $46/hour
