Child Care/Babysitter Responsibilities:
- Care for children from newborn to 18 years old, providing daily oversight and support.
- Travel by car or public transportation to various clients across the Portland area.
- Engage children with parent-approved activities and programs that foster development.
- Provide end-of-day reports detailing activities and care provided.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment, providing essential care (meals, housekeeping, diapering, toileting, bottle feeding, schoolwork, etc.).
- Care for mildly ill children as needed.
Child Care/Babysitter Requirements:
- Must have a reliable vehicle.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in childcare (e.g., daycare, babysitting, after-school programs) OR 2 years of experience in a home setting with family or siblings.
- First Aid and CPR certified (or willingness to obtain certification before the first shift).
- Ability to provide written reports of children’s daily activities to parents.
- At least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in school, individualized nanny care, summer camps, or pediatric programs is a plus.
