Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – 1:1 Student Care

School-based bus run pediatric position

Location: Scotch Plains

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am & 2:30 bus run
Monday April 27th - June 24th; continuing through the 2026/2027 school year
Possible summer schedule: July 6th - July 30th; Monday - Thursday, 9 am - 11:30 am

Pay Rate: $37 per hour

BrightStar Care of Westfield is seeking a compassionate LPN for a great opportunity to provide stand-by care on bus runs for a student with a seizure disorder.

We are seeking an LPN with strong pediatric or school nursing experience who is passionate about supporting a child’s safety and comfort.

Must be able to start Monday, April 27, 2026 and continue until the end of the school year with possible summer hours which are Monday - Thursday 7/6 - 7/30. The assignment will continue through the 2026/2027 school year.

Each bus run is payable for 3 hours @ $37/hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive 1:1 care for a student with a seizure disorder
• Monitor and document the student’s condition
• Communicate effectively with school staff and care team
• Maintain accurate clinical records and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted New Jersey LPN license
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
• Pediatric or school nursing background preferred
• CPR/BLS (ACLS a plus)
• Strong commitment to HIPAA and patient confidentiality

Preferred:

• Residing in or near Union County for convenient commute
