Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) – Pediatric/Childcare Cases

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide essential in-home support for children. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about pediatric care and committed to supporting children and their families in a home environment. The CHHA will work closely with the child/children to ensure safety, comfort, and developmental engagement.

Responsibilities

• Assist children with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, tailored to their developmental needs.

• Provide companionship and a nurturing presence to children, fostering emotional well-being.

• Monitor the child's health status and promptly report any concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.

• Perform light housekeeping duties related to the child’s care, such as cleaning up play areas, laundry, and meal prep.

• Engage children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.

• Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, child’s behavior, and any changes in condition.

Requirements

• Current CHHA license in New Jersey .

• Previous experience in pediatric or childcare settings preferred.

• Familiarity with caring for children with developmental delays, physical disabilities, or chronic medical conditions is a plus.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with both children and their families.

• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.

• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray, updated physical 

• Flexible schedule availability, including evenings and weekends if needed.
