BrightStar Care is looking for Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) to work with our partner facility in Savannah. The schedule is Mon-Fri, 8am - 5pm.

Responsibilities of a Certified Medical Assistants (CMA): 

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
• Record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information accurately
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
• Update and maintain electronic medical records (EMR)

Requirements of a Certified Medical Assistants (CMA):

• CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) license
• Active CPR
• tb test within the past 12 months
• at least a year of CMA experience

Work Environment:

Very busy atmosphere. Highly stressful when dealing with individual personalities of co-workers, patients and their families. Potential for regular exposure to blood-borne diseases (Category I). Potential for exposure to chemical hazards (Category B).

Physical Demands:

Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking. Assists with lifting and moving patients as necessary. Lifts supplies/equipment up to 20lbs, occasionally, and/or up to 10lbs frequently. Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.
