Private Duty Registered Nurse (RN) – Daytime Case

BrightStar Care of Honolulu is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled private duty nursing care for a young adult client on the Windward side of Oahu, supported by a loving and engaged family.

This is a stable daytime case offering meaningful, relationship-based care in a home setting.

Schedule
• Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday daytime shifts
• 6–8 hour shifts, typically 8:00am–4:00pm or 9:00am–3:00pm
• Consistent weekly schedule

Role Overview
The Registered Nurse provides person-centered skilled nursing care in the home and works closely with the Director of Nursing and the family to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.

Training and case orientation will be provided by both the Director of Nursing and the client’s family.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide skilled nursing care in accordance with the Plan of Care
• Assess, observe, implement, evaluate, and document nursing interventions
• Monitor and report changes in the client’s condition
• Provide education and support to the client and family
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and agency standards

Qualifications
• Current, unrestricted Hawaii RN license
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Tracheostomy care experience required
• Current BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Reliable transportation and auto insurance
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA
