Experienced Service Manager (Roanoke)

Description of the role:
The Service Manager at Berglund Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat in Roanoke will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service department. This role requires managing a team of service advisors and technicians to deliver exceptional customer service and efficient vehicle maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of service technicians and service advisors, including hiring, training, and evaluating employees.
• Ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service by providing concierge support to build a positive relationship with customers. 
• Oversee the quality and accuracy of repair and maintenance work.
• Handling conflicts that may arise within the service department and addressing customer complaints in a professional and effective manner. 
• Distribute work between technicians.
• Prioritize required services.

Requirements:

• Previous service manager experience.
• Knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
• Knowledge of CDK a plus.
• Computer skills, including knowledge of automotive service management software.
• Experience managing and motivating a team in a positive manner. 
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers and vendors.
• Organized and detail oriented. 
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
