This position is onsite Monday – Friday, (8am to 5pm).
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- This role will oversee and manage the new vehicle inventory for Berger Chevrolet’s new car department, ensuring optimal stock levels, organization, and availability.
- Coordinate with the sales, finance, and service teams to effectively manage all aspects of new car inventory, including receiving, tracking, stocking, and merchandising.
- Order new vehicles directly from General Motors in alignment with dealership allocations based on market demands/forecasts, and dealership objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of new vehicle inventory by efficiently tracking and posting vehicle invoices daily for newly arrived units.
- Check in vehicles from the prep department and create service repair orders (ROs) as needed to ensure timely and efficient processing.
- Coordinate dealer trades with other dealerships and schedule fleet drivers to optimize inventory levels and effectively meet customer demand.
- Book and log completed deals in dealership systems with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
- Apply for incentives and rebates through the Global Incentives and Vehicle Inventory system (GIVI) to maximize dealership profitability on new vehicle sales.
- Coordinate the intake and return of vehicles to our rental car department, ensuring seamless operations and accurate inventory management.
- Prepare and submit month-end Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) reports to ensure accurate performance tracking and reporting.
- Maintain compliance with General Motors programs and guidelines related to new car inventory.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned through continued employment.

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience managing inventory in a high-volume environment in particularly within a dealership setting, is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective time management, with the ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including Dealership Management System (DMS), inventory software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Dependable, trustworthy, highly organized, and consistently efficient.
- Ability to operate an automobile and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must allow pre-employment screenings, i.e., background checks, driving record evaluations, and drug testing.
- Must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, and adhere to workplace health procedures as directed by the public health department.
