Purpose of the Position:
To prepare all of the hotel food items while ensuring a visually appealing presentation and a delectable taste. Lead with heart and by example. Put cleanliness, communication and taking care of your team first. The kitchen is your responsibility. Ownership of all aspects are the requirement. Follow all brand and safety standards.
Essential Responsibilities: Include but not limited to below………….
Responsible for working all stations.
Responsible for weekly specials.
Communication with your team members on expectations.
Leading by example.
Completes all prep work relating to shift and work duty.
Set up line with all necessary utensils, tools and supplies.
Prepare all entrees according to specification and utilize recipe cards and specs to ensure consistency.
Ensures a visually appealing presentation.
Portion control adherence to specifications, food cost control, waste, spoilage, rotation, food properly requisitioned, etc.
Labels, dates and wraps everything.
Cleans out coolers, rotating, marrying, discarding food where needed to ensure high quality food production.
Labels, dates and wraps everything.
Cleans and sanitizes station at the end of shift and prepares for the next shift.
Place all dirty utensils, glassware, pots, pans, etc. in dish washing area.
Keeps working areas clean and organized.
Execute banquet functions, this includes, ordering, prep and delivery.
Wash all dishes, as needed.
Keeps the kitchen organized, this includes product, banquet items being returned to banquet storage, always keeping counters clean etc.
Maintains safety standards.
Use your recipe cards to keep training the team and keep consistent.
Completes daily cleaning schedule.
Keeps area cleaned and always sanitized.
Takes pride in their work and their department
Give your best to our team and our guests.
Cover shifts as needed for call offs.
Hold accountability for yourself and all team members.
Follow budget guidelines.
