Position Overview

We are looking for a talented and passionate Line Cook to join the culinary team at the Hilton Garden Inn Dayton/Beavercreek. In this role, you will prepare high-quality food items across multiple kitchen stations, ensuring every dish meets our standards for presentation, taste, and consistency, follow Hilton brand standards.   If you take pride in your craft and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, we would love to have you on the team.

Responsibilities

  • Work all kitchen stations including the line, window, broiler, ovens, saute, and pantry
  • Complete all prep work for your assigned shift and work duties
  • Set up the line with all necessary utensils, tools, and supplies
  • Prepare all entrees according to recipe specifications and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency
  • Ensure visually appealing presentation with attention to detail and flair
  • Maintain food cost control through proper portioning, rotation, and waste reduction
  • Label, date, and wrap all food items in accordance with food safety standards
  • Clean coolers regularly, rotating, combining, and discarding food as needed to maintain quality
  • Clean and sanitize your station at the end of each shift and prepare for the next shift
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift
  • Complete daily cleaning assignments as directed by management
  • Dish as needed.
  • Prep for events and AM/PM shifts.
  • Follow a Banquet Event Order and cook food for events

Qualifications

  • Prior line cook or kitchen experience required
  • Knowledge of culinary procedures, recipe execution, and food safety standards
  • Serv-Safe certification preferred
  • Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and knives
  • Knowledge of MICROS system preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with extreme heat and varying temperatures
