Position Overview

Beach Mazda is seeking a highly experienced and driven Automotive Service Manager. This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role while we build a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility. We are looking for a proven professional who can elevate the customer experience, develop a high-performing team, deliver profitability results and expand our presence in the local market.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and top-tier customer satisfaction
  • Recruit, train, and develop service advisors, technicians, and support staff
  • Establish and monitor KPIs including labor sales, effective labor rate, technician productivity, and customer retention
  • Create and execute strategies to grow service business and market share within the Myrtle Beach area
  • Maintain strong CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores and resolve customer concerns professionally
  • Oversee scheduling, workflow, and shop productivity to maximize throughput
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, warranty policies, and dealership procedures
  • Collaborate with sales and parts departments to drive overall dealership success
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and performance reports

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as an Automotive Service Manager or Assistant Service Manager
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and performance management skills
  • Proven track record of increasing service revenue and profitability
  • Deep understanding of fixed operations, KPIs, and dealership financials
  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities
  • Experience with dealership management systems (DMS) and service software
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with Mazda or import brands
  • Experience with growing a service operation
  • Proven CSI success
