PAY RATE: $22.00 - $24.00 + DOE

Position Summary
Bayview is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, children, staff, and visitors. This role plays an important part in supporting the comfort, dignity, and well-being of those we serve. Your presence in resident living areas provides reassurance that a caring support network is always present.
Key Responsibilities
The Housekeeper maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by cleaning and sanitizing resident rooms, common areas, and workspaces according to Bayview policies and infection control standards. Responsibilities include replacing bed linens, restocking supplies, emptying trash, and ensuring areas remain neat and orderly.
This role requires proactively identifying and addressing areas in need of cleaning, responding promptly to requests, and assisting with laundry services as needed. The Housekeeper interacts respectfully with residents, staff, and visitors, honors resident preferences when safe and feasible, and supports a positive team environment.
Additional responsibilities include attending required trainings, maintaining confidentiality, complying with all applicable regulations (including background check and TB requirements), responding appropriately in emergencies, and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Skills

Ability to identify areas in need of cleaning and prioritize tasks effectively

Strong organizational skills and motivation to work efficiently

Ability to communicate effectively in English

Understanding of infection control practices and blood-borne pathogen precautions

Patience, flexibility, positive attitude, and genuine care for elderly individuals, persons with disabilities, and children

Ability to graciously accept requests and feedback
Physical Requirements

On your feet for most of the shift

Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

Adequate vision and hearing to perform duties safely and effectively
