WHAT YOU'LL DO: MAKE EVERY LITTLE MOMENT COUNT!

 

As our Twos Teacher, you'll create meaningful learning experiences that inspire curiosity, encourage independence, and help toddlers develop the skills they need to grow with confidence.

 

Your key responsibilities include:

 

• Plan Fun and Meaningful Learning Activities: Develop and implement daily lessons aligned with Maryland Early Learning Standards and Montessori principles.

• Create a Safe and Welcoming Classroom: Maintain an organized, nurturing environment where toddlers feel secure, confident, and excited to explore.

• Support Growth and Development: Observe, assess, and document children's progress, learning experiences, and developmental milestones.

• Encourage Positive Behavior: Help toddlers build social skills, follow classroom routines, practice independence, and transition smoothly between activities.

• Build Strong Family Partnerships: Communicate professionally and positively with families about children's progress, needs, and development.

• Collaborate with Fellow Educators: Work closely with co-teachers and school leadership to provide consistent, high-quality care and education.

• Maintain Essential Documentation: Complete attendance records, progress reports, and incident documentation accurately.

• Protect Children's Health and Safety: Follow Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) and Office of Child Care (OCC) licensing requirements.

• Continue Learning and Growing: Participate in required training, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.

 

ARE YOU THE TWOS TEACHER WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

 

We're seeking an educator who is patient, dependable, attentive, and passionate about helping two-year-olds learn through exploration, hands-on experiences, and positive guidance.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

• Must be at least 19 years old.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of, or willingness to complete, MSDE-required training:

  • 90-hour Preschool Certification.

  • 45-hour Child Growth & Development.

  • 45-hour Preschool Curriculum.

  • 9-hour Communication Course.

  • Basic Health & Safety Training.

• Current CPR and First Aid Certification.

• Maryland State background check and fingerprint clearance.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

• Montessori certification (AMI, AMS, or MACTE).

• At least 2 years of experience in a licensed early childhood program.
