WHAT YOU'LL DO: SHAPE THE FUTURE, ONE LITTLE STEP AT A TIME!

 

As a Twos Teacher, you'll guide toddlers through exciting learning experiences while creating a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate classroom.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

• Plan Engaging Lessons: Develop and implement daily activities aligned with Maryland Early Learning Standards and Montessori principles.

• Create a Nurturing Classroom: Maintain a structured, welcoming environment that encourages exploration, independence, and early development.

• Celebrate Every Milestone: Observe, assess, and document children's learning progress and developmental milestones.

• Guide Positive Behavior: Help toddlers develop social skills, follow classroom routines, and transition smoothly between activities.

• Connect with Families: Maintain professional, positive communication with families about children's progress and development.

• Work as a Team: Collaborate with co-teachers and school leadership to provide consistent, high-quality learning experiences.

• Maintain Accurate Records: Complete attendance records, progress reports, and incident documentation.

• Follow Safety Standards: Ensure compliance with Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) and Office of Child Care (OCC) licensing requirements.

• Keep Growing Professionally: Participate in required training, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.

 

ARE YOU OUR NEXT TWOS TEACHER?

 

We're looking for an educator who is ready to make a meaningful impact during one of the most important stages of childhood development.

 

Required Qualifications

 

• Must be at least 19 years old.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of, or willingness to complete, MSDE-required training:

  • 90-hour Preschool Certification.

  • 45-hour Child Growth & Development.

  • 45-hour Preschool Curriculum.

  • 9-hour Communication Course.

  • Basic Health & Safety Training.

• Current CPR and First Aid Certification.

• Maryland State background check and fingerprint clearance.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

• Montessori certification (AMI, AMS, or MACTE).

• At least 2 years of experience in a licensed early childhood program.
