"Rehab Tech/Office Assistant" is a role that combines both patient support and administrative duties within the rehabilitation department at Ave Maria Home. He/she will work under the supervision of rehabilitation professionals like physical therapists or occupational therapists. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Patient Assistance:Assisting with patient care, which may involve helping patients with exercises and mobility, preparing treatment areas, and providing routine treatments like applying hot/cold packs. 

  • Administrative Tasks:Performing a range of office support duties, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, handling insurance and billing paperwork, and assisting with general clerical work such as answering phones and filing. 

  • Equipment Management:Maintaining and organizing rehabilitation equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functionality, and managing supplies. 

  • Communication:Interacting with patients, colleagues, and potentially families, maintaining a professional and supportive demeanor. 

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Education: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. 

  • Basic computer skills and ability to use office equipment. 

  • Preferred: 

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting. 

  • Basic knowledge of physical therapy techniques and equipment. 

  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems. 

Work Environment: 

  • Rehab tech/office assistant will work in various locations across campus, including assisted living, memory care, long term care and skilled nursing facility.
