Job Summary:
As a Service Advisor at Auffenberg Volkswagen in Shiloh, Illinois, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and maintaining a high level of efficiency in our service department. You will be responsible for assisting customers with their vehicle service needs, managing service appointments, and providing accurate and timely recommendations for necessary repairs and maintenance. This is a full-time, individual contributor role in the auto industry, with competitive compensation ranging from 70-100k with a flexible schedule, and benefits package.

Responsibilities:
• Greet customers and gather information about their vehicle service needs
• Schedule service appointments and manage the service department's daily schedule
• Communicate with customers about necessary repairs and maintenance and provide accurate cost estimates
• Collaborate with technicians and provide clear and detailed work orders for all service jobs
• Keep customers informed of the status of their vehicle service, including any delays or additional repairs
• Manage service department inventory and parts ordering
• Maintain accurate and organized service records and documentation
• Uphold dealership and manufacturer policies and standards, including health and safety regulations
• Provide exceptional customer service and handle any customer complaints or concerns professionally and efficiently

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent, post-secondary education in automotive technology is preferred
• Previous experience in automotive service or customer service is required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with automotive systems and repairs
• Proficient computer skills and experience with dealership management systems
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
