Used Car Manager
The Used Car Manager will have a primary responsibility of executing a process which involves prospecting, appraising, and presenting offers to current vehicle owners with the goal of purchasing their vehicles from multiple sources for resale.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for calling, following up and scheduling appointments for customers to come in and appraise and purchase their used vehicles.
- Utilize CRM for prospecting and lead generation.
- Interface with current used vehicle owners from appointments set and dealership service drive with the purpose of purchasing their vehicle.
- Approach, greet, and engage with dealership customers to appraise and offer to purchase their current vehicles.
- Appraise used vehicles by asking questions, taking pictures of the vehicles, and inputting vehicle data inventory management system.
- Work with Sales Managers to build and propose an offer to seller.
- Introduces guest to sales department personnel to sell them a new vehicle after purchase of their existing vehicle.
- Review monthly goals with management on vehicles purchased to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
- Manage pricing, display, holding cost and inventory turn.
- Handel vehicle Disposal and auctions
Qualifications
Preferred:
- At least 2-3 years in a Used Car Buyer role and desking in a dealership setting, or vehicle procurement in the automotive rental industry.
- Excellent phone and communication skills.
- High level of customer service and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Ability to meet company’s production and quality standards.
Required:
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
- All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.
