Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

• Cardiac Monitoring: Continuously track, analyze, and interpret EKGs and telemetry data for patients, identifying irregularities and providing accurate documentation.
• Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to cardiac patients, including medication administration (IV and PO), management of central lines, and wound care.
• Emergency Response: Recognize and respond to emergency situations, such as arrhythmias or cardiac arrests, providing immediate intervention.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and adjust patient care plans.
• Patient Education: Instruct patients and families on cardiac conditions, medication regimens, and necessary lifestyle changes prior to discharge.
• Unit Leadership: Oversee telemetry technicians and collaborate with unit staff to ensure quality care. 
   

• Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Virginia or compact state.
• Experience: Previous experience in a hospital telemetry, step-down, or cardiac care setting preferred.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
• Skills: Proficiency in EKG/telemetry interpretation, critical thinking, and rapid assessment skills.
