Position Summary & Responsibilities
- Cardiac Monitoring: Interprets EKG/telemetry strips, identifies arrhythmias, and acts promptly on changes in vital signs.
- Patient Care: Provides comprehensive nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, and managing patient care plans for cardiovascular patients.
- Assessment & Action: Rapidly assesses patients, collaborating with specialists in a fast-paced environment.
- Documentation: Accurately documents cardiac data and patient interventions in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Communication: Educates patients and family members regarding procedures and post-hospital care.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Virginia or Compact state.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- 1+ years of experience in telemetry, step-down, or ICU preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and rhythm interpretation skills.
