Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI 

Job Type: Travel Contract   

Duration: 13 weeks  

Shift: 4x12s Nights 

Pay: $3057/week  

 

Job Description:  

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing, demonstrating clinical expertise in patient monitoring, medication administration, and care coordination. This role requires effective collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety and positive outcomes. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on medical-surgical and telemetry units, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and documenting patient progress. 

  • Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to cardiac rhythms and patient condition changes. 

  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. 

  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance. 

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system. 

  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing 

  • Active RN license in Wisconsin 

  • ACLS, BLS, HWC, and NIH certifications required 

  • Minimum 1 year of Med Surg/Telemetry experience 

  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and time management skills 

  • Must have MS/Tele experience and be willing to float to other medical-surgical units as needed 

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
