Registered Nurse Med Surg – Travel Position

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Lawrenceburg, TN on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing acute care patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for medical-surgical patients.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly report significant changes to the healthcare team.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and in compliance with facility standards.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff to provide patient-centered care.
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in Tennessee (or compact eligibility).
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS preferred.
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills.
• Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care.
• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
