Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position 

Location: Missoula, MT 

Job Type: Travel Contract   

Duration: 13 weeks  

Shift: 3x12s Nights 

Pay: $2740/week  

 

Job Description:  

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the childbirth process. This role requires strong clinical expertise in both Labor & Delivery and Post-Partum care, ensuring safe outcomes for mothers and newborns in a fast-paced hospital environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Provide nursing care to patients during all stages of labor, delivery, and immediate post-partum recovery. 

  • Assess maternal and fetal status, monitor vital signs, and interpret fetal monitoring strips. 

  • Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and obstetric emergencies. 

  • Support patient and family education regarding labor, delivery, newborn care, and recovery. 

  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and unit protocols. 

  • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and neonatal staff to ensure safe, coordinated care. 

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the EMR system. 

  • Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and provide rapid interventions when necessary. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing 

  • Current RN license in MT 

  • Experience: 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery and Post-Partum experience required 

  • Must Have: Proven competency in both L&D and Post-Partum care 

  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA); NRP and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
