Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position 

Location: Georgetown, KY 

Job Type: Travel Contract   

Duration: 13 weeks  

Shift: 3x12s Nights 

Pay: $2175/week  

 

Job Description:  

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Labor and Delivery RN to provide safe, high-quality care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in women’s services, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. 

  • Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognizing and responding promptly to complications. 

  • Circulate and assist with obstetric procedures, including C-sections and high-risk deliveries. 

  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and pain management interventions safely. 

  • Educate and support patients and families, promoting positive birth experiences. 

  • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care. 

  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes. 

  • Support emergency response in obstetric and neonatal crises. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing 

  • Current RN license in KY 

  • Must Have: Prior women’s services experience 

  • Certifications Required: 

  • ACLS (AHA) 

  • AWHONN (Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring) 

  • BLS (AHA) 

  • HWC (Handle With Care) 

  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) 

  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
