PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

Key Responsibilities:  

• Deliver safe, patient-centered care to individuals recovering from anesthesia in the immediate post-operative phase. 

• Monitor vital signs, airway, and pain levels, intervening as needed to ensure patient stability. 

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, including pain and nausea management. 

• Assess patient readiness for transfer or discharge, providing education and support to patients and families. 

• Respond rapidly to emergency situations, applying advanced clinical skills. 

• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and the interdisciplinary care team to optimize outcomes. 

• Document patient assessments, interventions, and recovery progress accurately in the medical record. 

Qualifications:  

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing 

• Current RN license in TX 

• Experience: Minimum 1+ year of recent PACU or critical care experience required 

• Certifications Required: 

• BLS (AHA) 

• ACLS (AHA)
