Location: Austin, TX 

Job Type: Travel Contract   

Duration: 13 weeks  

Shift: 4x10s Days 

Pay: $2415/week  

 

Job Description:  

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN to join our team. This role involves providing direct patient care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in a high-volume setting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled in critical care, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. 

  • Assist physicians during procedures, including hemodynamic monitoring, medication administration, and patient support. 

  • Prepare patients for procedures, obtain consent, and complete pre-procedure assessments. 

  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and cardiac rhythms throughout procedures. 

  • Respond promptly to emergencies, utilizing critical thinking and advanced life support skills. 

  • Document all patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in Meditech EMR. 

  • Collaborate with technologists, physicians, and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and quality outcomes. 

  • Support recovery and post-procedure care, ensuring patient safety and comfort. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing 

  • Current RN license in TX 

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience 

  • Certifications Required: 

  • BLS (AHA) 

  • ACLS (AHA) 

  • Procedures Experience: Standard diagnostic and complex interventional cases in a high-volume Cath Lab 

  • Techs: Must hold ARRT or RCIS certification 

  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills
