Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position 

Location: Sierra Vista, AZ 

Job Type: Travel Contract   

Duration: 13 weeks  

Shift: 3x12s Nights 

Pay: $1995/week  

 

Job Description:  

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Med Surg / Telemetry RN to provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients on a combined medical-surgical and telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical skills, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment while working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring. 

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans. 

  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to patient condition changes. 

  • Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely and accurately. 

  • Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions. 

  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the EHR. 

  • Float: May float to inpatient holds as needed. 

  • Call: Required if down-staffed. 

  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing 

  • Current RN license in AZ 

  • Experience: Minimum 1+ year Med/Surg experience (Travelers must have >1 year) 

  • Certifications Required: 

  • ACLS (AHA) 

  • BLS (AHA) 

  • Strong telemetry interpretation skills and ability to respond in critical situations
