Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position 

Location: Kennewick, WA 

Job Type: Travel Contract   

Duration: 13 weeks  

Shift: 3x12s Days 

Pay: $2355/week  

 

Job Description:  

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Med Surg / Telemetry RN to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in both medical-surgical and telemetry nursing, providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires adaptability, critical thinking, and effective collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Deliver safe, effective nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring. 

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. 

  • Interpret and monitor cardiac rhythms, promptly responding to changes in patient condition. 

  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered. 

  • Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions. 

  • Document care and interventions accurately in the medical record. 

  • Float between medical and surgical units on the same floor as needed. 

  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, standards of nursing practice, and regulatory guidelines. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing 

  • Current RN license in WA 

  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent Med/Surg experience required 

  • Certifications Required: 

  • BLS (AHA) 

  • ACLS or rhythm interpretation course 

  • Strong telemetry interpretation and clinical assessment skills
