Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position 

Location: Corpus Christi, TX 

Job Type: Travel Contract   

Duration: 13 weeks  

Shift: 3x12s Nights 

Pay: $2211/week  

 

Job Description:  

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN to provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to patients throughout the childbirth process. The RN will manage high-risk obstetric cases, support physicians in surgical procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent outcomes for mothers and newborns. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases. 

  • Monitor maternal and fetal status using Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (Int. FM). 

  • Manage OBED patients and high-risk antepartum cases. 

  • Circulate and assist during C-sections and other obstetric surgical procedures, including Cerclage, BTL, and D&C for PPH. 

  • Administer medications, IV therapy, and provide COVID patient care as needed. 

  • Educate and support patients and families through the childbirth process. 

  • Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and the care team in fast-paced, high-acuity situations. 

  • Float as needed to Low-risk Antepartum areas. 

  • Maintain accurate documentation in CPN & Meditech EMRs. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing 

  • Current RN license in TX 

  • Certifications (Required): ACLS, BLS, NRP, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring 

  • Preferred: Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification 

  • Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience 

  • Strong background in high-risk obstetrics and surgical assistance 

  • EMR experience with CPN & Meditech
