Physical Therapist – Inpatient Rehab - Travel Position

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join a healthcare facility in Kingman, AZ on a 13-week travel assignment. The Physical Therapist will provide rehabilitative care to patients recovering from illness, surgery, or injury, helping them restore mobility, strength, and independence. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, adaptable, and experienced in inpatient rehabilitation settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess patients’ physical abilities, mobility limitations, and therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide therapeutic interventions such as gait training, strengthening, balance exercises, and mobility support.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals, home exercise programs, and safe use of assistive devices.
• Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes accurately and in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with occupational therapy, speech therapy, and nursing staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Promote recovery, independence, and improved quality of life through evidence-based PT practices.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid PT license in Arizona (or compact eligibility).
• Minimum 1 year of recent PT experience in inpatient rehab or acute care settings.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills.
• Compassionate and adaptable approach with experience treating diverse patient populations.
• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
