Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) - Travel Position 

Location: Salida, CO 

Job Type: Travel Contract   

Duration: 13 weeks  

Shift: 4x10s Nights 

Pay: $2753/week  

 

Job Description:  

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide perioperative care and support safe, efficient surgical procedures. The OR RN will be responsible for preparing patients, maintaining sterile fields, assisting surgeons, and ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to delivering excellent patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Provide direct perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures. 

  • Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and instruments to ensure readiness. 

  • Maintain sterile technique and support infection prevention standards. 

  • Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures. 

  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and responses during surgery. 

  • Document care provided in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. 

  • Educate patients and families on pre- and post-operative care as needed. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Active RN license in CO 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing 

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications  

  • CNOR certification 

  • COVID vaccine, TB test 

  • Minimum 1 year of operating room nursing experience
