LDRP Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Position

Pay: $2,844/week

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) Registered Nurse (RN) to join on a travel contract in Bismarck, ND. The LDRP RN will provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process, ensuring patient safety and high-quality outcomes. The ideal candidate is compassionate, adaptable, and highly skilled in managing labor and delivery in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, progress, and well-being throughout labor.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and pain management interventions as ordered.
• Support physicians and midwives during deliveries and respond to obstetric emergencies.
• Educate and support mothers and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
• Float to other units as assigned to support staffing needs.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license in North Dakota (or compact license).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Minimum of 3 years of recent L&D or LDRP nursing experience required.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring.
• COVID vaccine and recent TB test (as required by facility).
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-acuity and emergency situations.
