Pay: $2,375/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate Pediatric Outpatient Physical Therapist (PT) to join a clinic in Reidsville, NC, on a travel contract. The PT will evaluate and treat pediatric patients with developmental, orthopedic, or neurological conditions, helping them achieve improved mobility, strength, and independence. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, creative in therapy approaches, and experienced in pediatric rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive pediatric evaluations to assess motor function, strength, mobility, and developmental needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s goals and physician recommendations.
- Provide interventions including therapeutic exercise, play-based activities, gait training, and balance work.
- Educate families and caregivers on therapy goals, home exercise programs, and strategies to support progress.
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with pediatricians, occupational therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated care.
- Create a supportive and engaging outpatient therapy environment for children and families.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Physical Therapist license in North Carolina (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of pediatric physical therapy experience, preferably in an outpatient setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- COVID vaccine and recent TB test.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children and families.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a passion for pediatric care.
