Pay: $2275/week
Job Description:
We're seeking a dedicated and skilled Oncology Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care for cancer patients. This role combines oncology care with cardiac monitoring, focusing on patients who are at risk for or are experiencing cardiac complications due to their cancer or its treatment. The Oncology Telemetry RN will monitor patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms, administer chemotherapy and other medications, and provide compassionate support. The ideal candidate has strong critical thinking skills, is attentive to detail, and excels at patient and family education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret rhythm strips.
- Assess patient vital signs and identify changes in cardiac status.
- Administer and manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other medications.
- Educate patients and families on their treatment plan and potential side effects.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during all phases of cancer care.
- Collaborate with oncologists, cardiologists, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
- Document patient care accurately and follow all safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in [Missouri].
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an oncology or telemetry unit.
- Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification is preferred.
- COVID vaccine and recent TB test are required.
