Surgical Technologist - Travel Position  

Location: Bridgeport, CT 

Job Type: Travel Contract   

Duration: 13 weeks  

Shift: 5x8s 

Pay: $2463/week  

 

Job Description:  

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to support surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, sterilizing instruments, and assisting during procedures. The Surgical Technologist will ensure a sterile environment, provide instruments and supplies to surgeons, and help maintain patient safety throughout operations. The ideal candidate is organized, focused, and thrives in a fast-paced surgical setting. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Prepare operating rooms and ensure all instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready. 

  • Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures by passing instruments and supplies. 

  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to maintain efficiency. 

  • Monitor sterile fields and adhere to strict infection control standards. 

  • Maintain accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies. 

  • Support post-operative cleanup and equipment care. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program 

  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT  

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, COVID vaccine, recent TB test 

  • Minimum 1 year experience
