Location: Kansas City, KS 

Job Type: Travel Contract   

Duration: 13 weeks  

Shift: 5x8s 

Pay: $1973/week  

 

Job Description:  

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide respiratory care and life-support services to patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders. The RRT will assess patient conditions, deliver therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to optimize outcomes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to patient-centered care. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Assess, treat, and manage patients with respiratory conditions. 

  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and mechanical ventilation. 

  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment as needed. 

  • Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function testing. 

  • Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and equipment use. 

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety protocols. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy  

  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC  

  • Active state licensure  

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications 

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications  

  • COVID vaccine, recent TB test 

  • Minimum 1-year of clinical respiratory therapy experience
