Contract Type: Travel
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 Nights
Pay: $2,120.40/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma acute care setting. This role supports a specialized Neuro ICU caring for critically ill neurological patients, including complex surgical and trauma cases. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates must be comfortable floating to other ICU and telemetry units as needed and must successfully complete required clinical skills validations during orientation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill neurological patients
  • Perform advanced neuro assessments and ICP monitoring
  • Manage EVDs and other neuro-critical care devices
  • Maintain strict sterile technique for invasive line and catheter procedures
  • Care for patients on ventilators and advanced monitoring systems
  • Document care accurately using EMR
  • Float to ICU and telemetry units as required
  • Participate in required exams, skills labs, and orientation activities
  • Follow all clinical safety and infection control protocols

Qualifications

  • Active RN license
  • BSN required
  • Minimum 2 years ICU experience in a large acute care hospital
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required
  • Neuro ICU experience preferred (18+ months considered)
  • EVD experience required
  • Strong neuro assessment and ICP monitoring skills
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Must pass required clinical exams and validations
  • First-time travelers accepted
