Shift: 3x12 Nights (weekdays and some weekends; holidays required)
Pay: $1,947.60/week
Completion Bonus: $2,450 per contract (up to $7,350 after three contracts)
Job Description
Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist needed for a large academic medical center setting working 12-hour night shifts. Therapist will manage adult and geriatric patients with respiratory conditions including COPD, asthma, and cancer-related complications. Experience with GE ventilators and Hamilton vents preferred. Epic charting required. Full holiday availability is required, and time off requests for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are not accepted. Travelers may be floated within the system based on staffing needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care treatments and assessments for adult and geriatric patients
- Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory support equipment
- Perform airway management and pulmonary hygiene procedures
- Administer respiratory medications and aerosol therapies
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Support critical care, med/surg, PCU, and emergency patients
- Document all care in Epic
Qualifications
- RRT credential required
- CRT certification required
- BLS and ACLS required
- Active Ohio state license required
- Minimum 2 years respiratory therapy experience required
- Previous travel experience preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with GE ventilators required; Hamilton ventilator experience preferred
- Two professional references required (one from a manager or supervisor)
- Must meet Ohio fingerprinting and compliance timelines
