Pay: $2,509.20/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)
Job Description
ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Step Down / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for an auto-offer travel assignment in the HVTI Stepdown Unit.
This is a high-acuity cardiovascular stepdown environment requiring strong clinical skills, adaptability, and recent stepdown experience. Nurses must be comfortable working rotating shifts and supporting the operational needs of a large academic medical center.
This role is ideal for clinicians with solid stepdown/PCU backgrounds who are confident managing intermediate-level acuity patients in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital system.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced stepdown/PCU nursing care.
- Monitor and manage complex cardiovascular and medical patients.
- Interpret telemetry and ECG rhythms.
- Administer medications and treatments per provider orders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across HVTI services.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Support high-acuity patient flow and care coordination.
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months PERMANENT experience in Stepdown specialty prior to travel.
- Minimum 18 months recent Stepdown experience (travel experience accepted).
- PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred.
- Active Ohio RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission).
- Required Certifications (AHA or American Red Cross):
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- 1 supervisory reference required (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in specialty).
- Strong cardiac monitoring and clinical assessment skills.
