2,467.60 /week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts) 

 


Job Summary:

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. This role involves pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, including education and consent verification.
  • Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures (e.g., colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, bronchoscopy).
  • Monitor patient vital signs and sedation levels throughout the procedure.
  • Administer medications and sedation as directed by the physician.
  • Provide post-procedure care, including monitoring for complications and educating patients on discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Ensure proper cleaning and sterilization of endoscopic equipment per infection control standards.
  • Collaborate with gastroenterologists, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

 


Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing).
  • Licensure: Current RN license in [State].
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required
    • Conscious Sedation Competency – Preferred
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1 year of endoscopy or procedural nursing experience preferred; critical care or PACU experience is a plus.

 


Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of endoscopic procedures and sedation protocols.
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and manage airway complications.
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities.

 


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning.
  • Manual dexterity for handling scopes and assisting with procedures.
