Location: Clarkston, WA
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 Days
Pay: $2,654.28 /week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts) 

 


Job Summary:

The MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images for physicians and radiologists. This role requires expertise in operating MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining compliance with imaging protocols and standards.

 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for MRI examinations according to established protocols.
  • Operate MRI scanners and related equipment to capture diagnostic images.
  • Screen patients for contraindications (e.g., implants, metal objects) and obtain informed consent.
  • Administer contrast agents as required and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
  • Review images for quality and completeness before submission to radiologists.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the imaging system.
  • Adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize imaging outcomes.

 


Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Current ARRT (MR) certification or equivalent – Required
    • State licensure (if applicable) – Required
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1 year of MRI experience preferred; new graduates with clinical training may be considered.

 


Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in MRI equipment operation and imaging protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and cross-sectional imaging.
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

 


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and assist patients during imaging procedures.
  • Manual dexterity for operating MRI equipment and administering contrast.
