Pay: $2324.52/week
Completion Bonus: Up to $7,500 total. (You will receive $2,500 after the successful completion of each of your first 3 contracts with us)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous MS-ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced tertiary hospital team. The RN is a crucial member of the critical care unit, responsible for managing complex, high-acuity adult and pediatric (>15 years) patients, including those requiring titratable vasoactive, paralytic, and antiarrhythmic drips. This role requires exceptional critical thinking, autonomy in reading telemetry strips, and the flexibility to float to all inpatient units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage critical care patients with complex diagnoses (e.g., Respiratory failure, Sepsis, Stroke, MODS) requiring ICU ratios of 1:1–2.
- Titrate and manage common critical care drips, including Vasopressors, Paralytics, Narcotics, Sedation, and Antiarrhythmics.
- Assess patient conditions using advanced equipment (A-Lines, CVPs, Vents, etc.) and effectively troubleshoot respiratory equipment.
- Read and interpret own Telemetry strips from the Draeger heart monitoring system (No Tele Techs available).
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all patient care, interventions, and assessments using EPIC EMR.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including fellows and residents, to execute complex care plans.
- Float to all inpatient units as needed, excluding Maternity/NICU.
- Assume Charge Nurse duties (codes/RRTs) as assigned by the Charge Nurse who maintains an assignment.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Nebraska.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are REQUIRED.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent ICU bedside experience is assumed necessary for this high-acuity role.
- COVID vaccine and recent TB test are required.
