Pay: $2,228.40/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Position Overview

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced and compassionate Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Nashville, Tennessee. The RN will provide specialized care for patients requiring close monitoring and advanced medical management in a step-down or intermediate care setting.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong critical-thinking skills, clinical expertise in cardiac and telemetry monitoring, and the ability to provide patient-centered care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and continuous nursing care to PCU/step-down patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and patient responses to therapy
• Administer IV medications, drips, and oxygen therapy per physician orders
• Manage patients requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring and non-invasive ventilation
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other care providers to ensure optimal outcomes
• Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition or deterioration
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols
• Float to related units (such as telemetry or ICU step-down) as required

Qualifications

• Active Tennessee RN license or Compact State RN license (required)
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or step-down experience (required)
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and multitasking skills
• EMR experience (Epic, Cerner, or similar systems preferred)
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required.
