Shift: 3×12 Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Pay: $2,059.20/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Position Overview

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Tucson, Arizona. The RN will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients presenting with a wide variety of emergent conditions in a Stroke and STEMI Receiving facility.

The ideal candidate has strong clinical judgment, emergency response skills, and leadership experience—particularly in charge nurse or team lead capacities. This role requires adaptability, as floating to other departments may be required to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform rapid triage and accurate assessment of emergency patients
  • Deliver direct, comprehensive nursing care in high-acuity and fast-paced environments
  • Administer IV medications, fluids, and emergency interventions per provider orders
  • Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and response to treatments
  • Support trauma, cardiac, and stroke alerts in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
  • Assist with stabilization, resuscitation, and transport of critically ill patients
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely interventions
  • Document assessments, treatments, and outcomes in Cerner EMR
  • Maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment following hospital protocols
  • Float to other units as needed within scope of practice
  • Serve as a resource and leader to nursing and support staff as required

Qualifications

  • Active Arizona RN license or Compact State RN license (required)
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Minimum 2–3 years of Emergency Department experience (required)
  • Preferred: Prior charge nurse or team lead experience
  • Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
  • Certifications recommended: PALS and NIHSS
  • Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills in acute settings
  • Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred
  • Ability to float to other departments as needed
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required.
