Pay: $2,446.20/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description:

The Cardiac Cath Lab RN will provide pre- and post-procedural care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. This position is part of the Cath Lab Holding (Short Stay) department and requires strong telemetry and procedural recovery experience.

This role is ideal for an adaptable and detail-oriented nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prep and recover patients for Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology procedures
• Monitor telemetry and patient vitals during pre- and post-procedural care
• Administer medications, including vasoactive agents, and manage IV lines
• Remove arterial/venous sheaths and apply manual pressure as needed
• Assist with procedures such as TEE, Cardioversion, and Dobutamine Stress Echo
• Provide patient education and ensure safe discharge or transfer
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and nursing staff for optimal patient outcomes
• Document all care accurately in Meditech

Requirements:

• License: Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Certifications:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2+ years of RN experience
  • Telemetry or PCU experience required
  • Cath Lab prep/recovery experience preferred
  • Experience with vasoactive drugs, intra-aortic balloon pump, or Impella device a plus
  • Pre-op/recovery background preferred

  • Beds: 10 (plus 4 overflow)

  • Patient Ratios: 1:2–3 based on acuity

  • Documentation System: Meditech

  • Scrub Color: Royal Blue

  • Floating: As needed (uncommon)

  • Environment: Fast-paced prep and recovery area for Cath Lab and IR patient
