Shift: 3×12 Days or Nights
Pay: $1,546.56/week
Completion Bonus: $1,850 per contract (up to $5,550 after three contracts)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment at a large acute care hospital in Dallas, TX. The Med Surg RN provides care to diverse patient populations with varying medical conditions, ensuring safety, high-quality outcomes, and patient satisfaction in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, fluid balance, and patient responses
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Support infection control and safety standards
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license or Compact RN license
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent Med-Surg experience (required)
- BLS (required); ACLS preferred
- Strong critical-thinking and time-management skills
- Experience with electronic charting systems preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required.
